Red Hand Day on 12 February 2009 celebrates the seventh anniversary of the entry into force of the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on children in armed conflict. Amnesty International Taipei English Speaking Group and Amnesty International Taiwan are planning a special event to mark this day. There will be a screening of the documentary The Invisible Children (with Chinese subtitles), a guest speaker and discussion.

The program for the evening is as follows:
19:00-19:20: a short documentary
19:20-19:45: Group introduction
19:45-20:15: a speech by Son Yu Liam (孫友聯), General secretary, Taiwan Labour Front
20:15-20:30: Q&A
20:30-21:30: watching: "Invisible Children", a film about the plight of child soldiers and night commuters in northern Uganda.
